     Anita Desai -Introduction and Work 

                        Introduction- 

 Anita desai a famous novelist.She born in 1937 mussoori  India .Her mother is Toni Nime (German).her father D.N.Mazumdar a Bengali businessman.

       She grew up speaking German at home and Bengali, Hindi,Urdu,and English at out side .

      She went Queen Mary's H.S.school Delhi .She completed B.A.English Literature in 1957 from the Miranda house of the  university of Delhi.

     She married to Ashwin Desai ,the director of computer software company. the have four children .kiran Desai daughter of Anita Desai An Award winning Novelist (Booker Prize).

    In 1993 Anita Desai became a creative writing teacher at Massachusetts Institute if Technology.

   Desai is an Indian Anglo writer .
